Aurogra is a generic prescription medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men.

INDICATION AND CLINICAL USE

Aurogra is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED). Clinically, ED is characterized by the persistent or recurrent inability to attain or maintain a penile erection of sufficient rigidity to permit satisfactory sexual performance. Aurogra functions strictly as a peripheral therapy; it does not exert a direct relaxant effect on isolated human corpus cavernosum but enhances the physiological response to non-adrenergic, non-cholinergic (NANC) nerve stimulation.

HOW IT WORKS

The main active component in Aurogra is Sildenafil Citrate, the exact same chemical compound found in the well-known brand-name medication Viagra.

Sildenafil belongs to a class of drugs known as PDE5 inhibitors (phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors).

It does not create an automatic erection. Natural sexual stimulation is required to kickstart the chemical process.

Sexual arousal signals the release of Nitric Oxide (NO) in the erectile tissue of the penis. This activates an enzyme that produces a chemical called cGMP, which relaxes the smooth muscle walls of the local arteries.

Normally, an enzyme called PDE5 breaks down cGMP to return the penis to its flaccid state. Sildenafil selectively blocks (inhibits) this PDE5 enzyme.

By preserving cGMP levels, the smooth muscles stay relaxed longer, allowing heavily increased arterial inflow of blood into the penis, resulting in a firm erection.

HOW TO TAKE

For the medication to work safely and effectively, take one tablet roughly 30 to 60 minutes before planned sexual activity. Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water. It can be taken with or without food.

Taking Aurogra with a heavy, high-fat meal can delay how quickly the medicine absorbs, meaning it might take longer than an hour to start working. Never take more than one tablet within a 24-hour period.

SIDE EFFECTS

While many men tolerate Sildenafil well, side effects can happen. They are typically divided into common (mild) and rare (severe).

Common side effects (usually mild and temporary) are headache, facial flushing or warmth, indigestion or upset stomach, mild nasal congestion, dizziness, subtle visual changes (such as a temporary blue-tinted vision or mild blurriness).

Rare but serious side effects (require immediate emergency care) are

Priapism: an erection that is painful or lasts longer than 4 hours. Prolonged erections can permanently damage the tissue.

Sudden vision loss: a sudden decrease or total loss of vision in one or both eyes.

Sudden hearing issues: a sudden drop in hearing ability or a ringing in the ears.

Cardiovascular distress: chest pain, severe dizziness, or shortness of breath during sexual activity.

WARNING AND PRECAUTIONS

Aurogra is highly effective, but it can interact dangerously with certain pre-existing conditions or other medications.

Nitrates are strictly forbidden. Never take Aurogra if you are taking any nitrate medications (like Nitroglycerin, Isosorbide) for chest pain or heart problems, or recreational poppers (Amyl Nitrate). Combining them causes a sudden, life-threatening drop in blood pressure.

If you take alpha-blockers for high blood pressure or prostate issues, space out the doses as recommended by your doctor to prevent severe dizziness.

Consult your doctor thoroughly before using Aurogra if you have a history of heart attack, stroke, or irregular heartbeats within the last 6 months; severe liver or kidney disease; severe low blood pressure or uncontrolled high blood pressure; inherited eye conditions like Retinitis Pigmentosa.

STORAGE

Keep the blister pack in a cool, dry place. Protect it from direct sunlight, moisture, and heat. Always keep it safely out of the reach of children and pets.
